Yahoo Classic Only - public computers

Joe has asked that we inform known Yahoo.com email users that our system only supports the Classic version of yahoo mail. There is a now a beta version that requires him to undo a lot of security settings for the that version to load, so for now, Classic is the way to go.

Wireless - checking to see if its working

Hi there,
To check on the status of the Patron Wireless network, on the PCRes workstation look for:

DWL2200AP with an Icon that looks like a wireless card


Double-click it. If there are checkmarks next to the routers (WPL1-5) it is active.

If Xs, its not working. Call Joe!

Speakers

Joe has procured some speakers for use by patrons in meeting rooms. Some may want to use them with the projector for presentations. They are in the closet with the projector and TV, etc. You will find them in a cardboard box labelled, appropriately, "speakers."

New Displays

Hey there ref folks,

Our two new displays -- bestsellers and staff faves -- are moving quickly. Thanks for keeping them stocked and looking good.

Please try to select only bestsellers (from the lists on the side of the kiosk facing the OPAC) for the "bestsellers" side of the display.

For staff faves, feel free to select your favorite books. You'll find a tag with your name on it in the top drawer of the ref desk, next to the receipt book.
